Last week the school held the bi-annual Art Auction. This was once again organised by the PTA and the team did a great job coercing local artists, parents, children and teachers to support the worthy cause of getting our kids to camp.

We have come to an end of a busy but rewarding term. Reports and student portfolios have just gone out to parents and hopefully this has been a time of reflection and celebration for our families. The new national standards reporting format was used for this report and I am interested to get some feedback on what the thoughts of the community are in relation to this report form.

On Thursday 10th June Ashhurst and Whakarongo schools competed for the inaugural "Ashhurst-Whakarongo" challenge cup in Rugby, Netball, Football and Hockey. Rugby and Netball were held at Ashhurst with the other two codes taking place at Whakarongo school.
